laxa-bla – Icelandic salmon fly

Laxá Blá

Laxá Blá is without a doubt one of Þórður Pétursson’s most well-known flies and has proven highly effective on the Laxá in Aðaldalur. It is one of the classic Icelandic salmon flies and holds a special place in the minds of many anglers. My first two riffling hitch-caught salmon were taken on Laxá Blá at Skarðshamarsfjót in the Norðurá.
